For Fallout 3, Dogmeat was modeled to be of a Blue Heeler breed (pictured) to resemble the dog of Mad Max from the film Mad Max 2ĭogmeat was inspired by the unnamed dog of Max Rockatansky (Mad Max) from the 1981 post-apocalyptic film Mad Max 2.
